FAQ

Quartz – A highly durable, engineered stone that offers a wide range of colors and patterns, often mimicking marble or natural stone. Its non-porous surface makes it resistant to stains and low maintenance.

Porcelain – Also man-made, porcelain offers a modern, sleek option that can replicate natural stone. It comes in matte or high-gloss finishes and offers heat resistance. It is available in ultra-thin profiles which can be great for building up thicker edge profiles and makes it an ideal choice for a fireplace remodel.

Quartzite – A natural stone known for its unique veining and movement. It can appear similar to marble, but in more neutral and earthy tones. Extremely strong and durable, it combines beauty with resilience.

All three are excellent options and the pricing ranges depending on the stone you select.

  • Quartz: While it’s man-made and consistent, we still recommend seeing the slab to ensure you’re happy with the color, finish, and how it looks in your space.
  • Quartzite: Highly recommended because it’s a natural stone with unique veining—no two slabs are identical.

  • Porcelain: Depends on the design—if it has bold patterns or veining, viewing the slab can help you visualize the final layout.

We have excellent slab yards to take you to, where you can select your final material with confidence and find the perfect match for your project.

Once your base cabinets are installed, we will schedule your countertop template. After templating, fabrication typically takes around 10–14 business days. Once complete, we will schedule the final installation. If you have a full backsplash, it may require a return trip a few days later for installation.

  • Pop-Up Outlets – Hidden, retractable outlets that stay flush with the surface until needed for a clean look.

  • Waterfall Edges – Extending the countertop down one or both sides of an island for a sleek, modern design.

  • Bookmatching – Matching the veining of stone slabs at seams for a continuous, high-end look (must be planned with the fabricator).

  • Integrated Sinks – Seamless sinks made from the same countertop material for a streamlined appearance.

  • Mitered Edges – Creating the illusion of a thicker countertop by seamlessly joining two slabs at an angle. Our clients mix and match countertop thicknesses sometimes up to 4 or even 5 inches thick!

  • Backlit Stone – Translucent materials like quartz or onyx can be illuminated for a dramatic effect. This looks great on a bar, or even an island.
